How It Started
We’re Rich and Zoe Coulcher, and we launched Defiance Tools in 2021 to combine our love of travel, exploration, and problem-solving. Over the years, we’ve designed and curated products that reflect our own adventurous lifestyle — gear that’s practical, durable, and ready for anything.

Zoe’ Coulcher, Co-Founder
Zoe’ Coulcher brings a deep passion for customer service and business strategy to Defiance Tools. With a background in retail and real estate, she has built a career on solving complex challenges and driving growth. As a former General Manager at Dick's Sporting Goods, Zoe’ developed a keen ability to build high-performance teams and navigate competitive markets. Her experience in real estate, where she excelled in difficult negotiations and market positioning, further sharpened her strategic mindset. At Defiance Tools, Zoe’ leverages her talent for identifying customer needs and market trends to create products that are both practical and innovative.

Richard Coulcher, Co-Founder
Richard Coulcher is a strategic business leader with a proven track record of driving growth in consumer products and industrial markets. His career at Stanley Black & Decker included leading successful business turnarounds, product launches, and global initiatives. Richard is known for his ability to simplify complex ideas and turn them into marketable products. His approach — "dig in, fix it, design it, build it, and deliver results" — has guided the development of Defiance Tools' innovative product lineup.
